Description
The Church Subtly Deceived?
The subject is one of pressing importance. Several times the New Testament makes reference to the danger of a Christian being undermined by the powers of darkness in the last days. This is contrary to the widespread opinion of many believers who claim that such a thing is not written in the Bible anywhere. The apostle warns his hearers at Corinth that Satan could deceive them. In 2 Corinthians 11: 4 Paul highlights the danger that believers can in fact "receive another spirit, which ye have not received". According to 1 Timothy 4 the influence of evil spirits in the Church itself and among believers will increase in the latter times.
In light of these warnings from the Word of God, it will be necessary to test especially those much-praised Pentecostal and Charismatic movements of this century. Alexander Seibel clearly sees this as part of his special commission. His warning call is alarming and at times provocative.
